My first picture shows the central square of Saint Marcs, as it was in the beginning of the 20th century. Yet we call it like this because of the romancatholic church that still exists. Someone can also see the greekorthodox church of "Pantokrator" dedicated to Jesus Christ and the tomb and statue of the national poet of Greece Dionysios Solomos, who was born in Zakynthos. Unfortunately all the buildings were destroyed from the earthquake of 1953.
